In the fall of 2010 I worked on an exciting mix of corporate projects, short films and dance documentation.
In October I was hired by New York company Massify to work with DP Clayton Combe for a Trump Tower segment of the Forbes Travel Guide.
The following week I meadered the third floor sub-basment of the Willis Tower to document the installation of back up generators for United Airlines new offices. Earle Greenburg directed for Chicago Video Works.
In late October Solid Line Media brought me onboard to shoot a series of dialogues and b-roll on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. Greg Vass directed.
November 2010
In November I traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana to work with the crew from the American College of Cardiology. We shot numerous walk and talks with MDs travelling the halls of a cardiology clinic. Justin Schauble directed for Cardiosource Video Network.
In early November I worked on numerous short films, one of which would be one of the more challenging shots of my Steadicam Operating carear. The Kiss (directed by Angie Gaffney of DePaul University) was a one-take short shooting on 16mm film. This project involved roughly fifty extras and ten principals in an elaborately chroreogrpahed five minute and forty second take. This shot meandered from an exterior to an interior location and involved three staircases and a narrow ovehhead walkway. With only enough film stock to execute five complete takes the pressure to perform was high. After encountering an array of conumdums in the early attempts (including an errant AD darting though frame) the last two takes came off perfectly.
